with everyone else! When you can do so, I shall be very glad if you can spend an hour in glancing over the material on the subject, as this will better explain what is needed than anything else. A good many of the Caddoan tribes are extinct, or practically so, so that little can be said of them; but we can glean a good deal from books, and these of course you can have full access to.

If you are writing to Mrs [[Nuttall??]], I shall be obliged if you will ask her to send her article to me with a view of its publication in the "Anthropologist". It [[underlined]] sounds [[/underlined]] important, and I am sure it will be interesting.

We have been all quite well, thank you. Mr Cushing is expected in Washington very shortly and will make a visit to Mrs [[Rorer?]] before running out to Garrett Park.
