Dear Miss Fletcher:

Very many thanks for articles, all of which have been read "in" committees except [[underlined]] Tipi and Bright Eyes [[/underlined]], which have just come.

I wish you could have been present at the discussion.  The trend of the criticism was chiefly with respect to the Indian Agency System.  These are some of the points developed:

1  Something on the Agency System in Canada should be given.

2.  The reason for establishing

agents and agencies should be brought out more fully ^[[ have, peaceful relations &]]

3  The policy, at present, of abolishing agents and agencies and to substitute school superintendents should be given.

4.  The experiment of appointing army offices as agents.

On Governmental Policy it was suggested that something be said of the following:

1. Indian policy of Texas.

2. Indians of N.C. not allowed to marry whites.

3  Give preamble treating of Colonial polices.
