Dear Madam: I take pleasure in enclosing herewith a certificate which the Department of State has been good enough to issue at the request of the Institution, accrediting you as a delegate on the part of the United States to the Eighteenth International Congress of Americanists, to be held at London from May 27 to June 1, 1912. Mr. Alfred P. Maudslay, M.A., F.S.A., Chairman of the Organizing Committee, has today been informed of your designation. In transmitting the certificate the Department states that it is issued with the understanding that no part of the expenses of the delegates in attending the Congress will be borne by the Government of the United States.
