Dearest Alice,
Loving wishes to you for the New Year! Am sending you a Calendar & hope it will reach you safely. My stay in Torquay did me much good & I finished my book. I left all well in Cambridge. I am now visiting my dear sister &, after a short visit to Dresden, shall return to England in February, to remain there until it seems advisable for me to go back to Mexico.
