Miss Alice C. Fletcher
Washington, D. C.

My dear Miss Fletcher:

I have ordered Hako, sending nine dollars to the Government Printing Office, and have received no reply of any kind. Can we no longer get the 22d Annual Report of the Bureau of Ethnology (II Part)? Is there any liklihood of the supply being exhausted, for in that case I should wish to order more copies than 6, since we have a constant demand for it? I have just ordered 35 copies of Hartley Burr Alexander's pamphlet because, as you know, I am not giving up on this line.

How is the Ojib^[[w]]eh volume progressing? When will it appear? My curiosity has been aroused as much as it is possible for me to have any aroused curiosity in this metropolitan game of the kitten chasing its tail.

I have answered the inquiry of Mr. Leach by sending him a copy of the first and second years' issues of the Leaves of the Greater Bible. As you know I have suspended publication this season because all funds in the parish available must go to the Fatherless Children of France. We cannot defray deficits on printer's bills.

Will very kindest regards,

Faithfully yours,
