My dear Lassie

I send the measurements & answer all the questions. I think. I also send the Photograph.

You are quite right as to the numberless obstacles & tribulations I go thru - all this every time I undertake to work up any thing. It is impossible when gathering information to cover every point unless one instructs as one procedes, an impossible thing to do. for an Indian will wait while you work out the thing you are at.

So to the roof, I am quite sure there is no crotch that hitches on the stringer. I presume Mr. Tibbles devised that. he worked with Lusetto. I think [[?]] the poles are notched where its strings are tied which would prevent slipping.

[] I sent you clippings about Roosevelt. he is delightful human & such a clever fellow & keen politician. Good staff anyhow.[]
