The Berlin material has gone, the descriptive catalogue is being bound will be go very soon, so that work is closed.

I have rec'd Prof. Tillman's cylinders, & Mr. Tracy proves a good assistant. He has transcribed a number of songs. We had a fete last Saturday eve & also Sunday eve. A Mr [[Voele?]] came on from Penn to see us about the music, and he was a most interesting man. The most delightful musician I have met. He was most enthusiastic & will do some thing I am pretty sure.

I have received tidings of the Sacred Buffalo Hide. I can get it for a sum, and I shall write Prof. Putnam about it tomorrow. A very queer story which I will tell you when you return.

I have been fixing things up. Last eve I fell from my old chair which I used at the typewriter, going down & getting hurt. I'm all right now.
Francis has presented me with a pretty chair today. Clara is here. Every thing she does goes well.

Love to yours, dear. F. sends love.
Ever with the old affection
