When a child is [[strikethrough]] born [[/strikethrough]] pipers danced. the father gives away horses & each one who receives a horse gives a reed in token.  There is no invitation. One tribe pipe dances the child of another tribe, or one band pipe dances the child of another band.  The people come, and the child is dressed in paint & feathers, put on the back of one the men who give the honor.  The child is put on the ground and the men dance. Only 2 men dance & 6 or more drum. In one instance 2 little girls gave two horses as they advanced leading the horses by their lariats, the horses had blankets
