can do much for himself but his children for he hopes when he dies to leave them something  That is the way he thinks white men do- they leave what they have for their children that is what he wants to do  The land is the only thing that will keep them alive but they must sweat for it.  He wishes he could work with out alarm & that it could be so with his children  He is all the time thinking of work nothing else he thinks of. When he got his 300 bush of wheat- he bought a horse for $100 & that make him think how good it is to work.  From what he earns he buys his & children clothes & it is good.  There are a good many things bought with his earnings-
