He is going tell you what an Agent did some years ago:  He brought the money down in a bag.  the money was in gold pieces.  he took a table & placed his chair beside it and put the money on the table & laid a revolver on one side of the pile. & a sharp knife on the other.  One of the Indian chiefs  (this took place in a [[?]] lodge all the chiefs & police & people were there to draw their money. Duta [[Mornie?]] was one of the police) went up to the Agent & asked him to tell how much money there was in the pile.  Agent threw himself on the pile & said it should not be counted.  he put the money into a bag & said they should not have any of it.  The Indians replied he could keep the money.  the Gov't must have sent it to him & it must belong to him.  In a few days the Agent said he was going to give them the money. & he gave out some money, but the amt of the bag full Indian given knew.
All the people had be command to
