under the treaty of 1865, I find that the Indians objected to the delivery of any certificates of allotment to their mixed blood relatives who were not residing with them, but that they withdrew the objection in the case of certain of them who removed to and took up their residence on the reservation with a view to remaining permanently as members of the tribe. Among this number was Mary Jane Paul, presumably the affiant, Mary Paul, whose testimony appears in the present case.

Now if Mrs. Peters and her
