We wish to pay for our things - we wish to possess our own money & [[?live]] on our own property individually.

[[?Pra]] [[?Chuk]]

We send a message by you. Our land is our own no one can [[?]] us. We have agreed to sell a portion of our land that we may be able to buy implements for farming. You want us to [[?lin]], to place us on our feet, & this will be the second time that you have helped us. If you not done already you can see the implements sent us as a tribe lying out of dam in the bad [[?water]] to rot & rust. If these implements were owned by individuals this would not happen. When farmers own their own implements they hold [[?sheds]] where they are kept from rotting. You have seen our sheds, you know that we do this thing & care for our property. I am in favor of doing away with all the employees. We have had them with us, they are a failure & now we want to do without them. We would like to tell this to the Authorities but we send the message by you. You know our thoughts, that is why we ask you, and ask you to ask your friends to help as to these changes.

You sometimes speak words which please as we believe them true. There are many tribe of Inds. & we know not how all of them are getting on, but we do know that we are trying to progress & we also know that we have no one to represent us faithfully with white people.
