After the passage of the bill [[appeared?]] August 7, 1882 at the instance of her sister Mrs. Provost, Mrs. Peters came up to the Omaha Reserve to establish her relationship and claim land here. Mr. Peters is a carpenter and did reside at St. Louis and on the Mississipi River for the government [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] He has excellent [[credit?]] [[?]] as to character, and so has his wife. According to the letter from the Secretary of the Interior dated [[June?]] 1st 1883, and enclosed in one [[f?]] [[?]]
