tribe.  She has at the present time land on the Nemaha half-breed Reserve.  This last spring she came to the Omaha Reserve, with her husband, a white man, and their children to claim relationship with the Omaha Indians and to secure, if possible, allotment of lands.

According to the letter of instructions received from the department, under date of June 1st enclosing a letter from the Secretary of the Interior, directing me to allot the land as "the law directs," and that law being Art. 4 of the treaty of 1866, of which the bill approved
