In enclosed affidavit of Mr. Frost was read before the open council but could not be understood by any of the old council men and soldiers, through whom the government transacted business with the tribe at the time mentioned by said Mr. Frost.

The fact that Mr. Frost came upon the reservation and did some breaking in the Logan Valley is not denied, but from the evidence given me by the Indians, he was not invited to come on the reservation to take lands and do levelling thereon, as was stated on the evidence given by Mr. Frost.
