Madam:-

Under date of 21st instant, the President appointed you a Special Agent to make allotments of land in severalty to Indians under the provisions of Act of Congress, approved February 8, 1887, and under date of the 22nd instant, the Honorable Acting Secretary of the Interior has designated you as a Special Disbursing Agent, and you are required to file an official bond in the penal sum of two thousand dollars ($2,000.), for which purpose I enclose herewith all the necessary blanks, filled up as far as practicable, together with a sheet of instructions as to the proper manner to execute the bond, and in addition, to secure your bond being acceptable, your attention is particularly called to the pencil notes on the bond blank
