Sir:

From personal observations and from trustworthy information, it seems that the prairie [[?]] have burned up the stakes, and the cattle have tramped [[?]] the mounds; therefore this reservation will need a partial [[?]]. The obliteration of the mounds is most complete [[?]] the western part of the reservation. Where there have been no settlements, a oslae[[?]] the herding has been most common.  In the tegrim[[?]] about the Agency corners can in a measure be Established.
   Col. Warner, the Agent, is physically unable to do this work.  He is suffering from Lameness.and so erch[[?]] so the newful tramping.  Aside from that, his duties at the Agency, would hardly permit his being absent for a week or more t a time, as Ismuld he needful when be surveying this hertiran[[?]] park,distant some 20 miles  is  Inne[[?]] from
