[[living?]] on the land formerly owned by John Ware, for the past six years.

About a year ago Johnson Ware, only child of John Ware returned home for vacation, and laid claim to his father's land, and house. He however returned to school, and nothing more was done [[or said]] [[?]] a letter was received last week by Mrs Henry Baker, only sister of John Ware, written by Johnson Ware. In this letter the young man says: "Dear Aunt, I wish you would take the house and live in it. I will be very glad if you can get in. I will say this much about it, that I don't want old man Red Legs to claim that as his house." This letter was presented to Mrs Henry Baker the only surviving sister, of John Ware. She claims that as Johnson Ware, is still a minor, she is his natural guardian and has a right to hold and use the property during the minority and absence of the rightful heir, and that in recognition of this claim Red Legs should be dispossessed and she installed in possession of the land & house of the late John [[?]]

Transcription Notes:
in the last sentence, the last name of John appears to start with an "R" - in all other instances the last name appears to be Ware
