Mrs. Lily Viles tells me that you are staking land claimed by her. Please be very careful and not steal any land claimed by any Indian. Remember that your claim as a Nez Perce Indian entitled to land has yet to be found. As soon as the authorities are selected who will ask for the tribe in these matters, I will try to call up your case, so that there may be no trouble. Meanwhile please be very careful.
