Sir:
The enclosed notice has been sent me with the request that I accept the service and return the same to the Attorney of Mr. G. Langford, Mr. E. O'Neill of Lewiston Idaho. I have written Mr. O' Neill that I could not accept service but had transmitted the notice to the Commis of Indian Affairs.

Among the papers forwarded me by Mr O'Neill is the House Document "43d Congress 1st Session,
Report No 63." being a Report by the House Com. on Indian Affairs upon the bill H.R. 22G authorizing the purchase of the Langford claim. Also a copy of the decision of Justice Miller in the case of Langford vs. Monteith. These papers Mr O'Neill has requested me to return and as both are accessable to the Dept. they are not forwarded on by me.
