In the field, Surveyor Briggs finds that the course of the North boundary of Township 32, N. Range 2, East, is South, 89°-50' East, and that the length of the line on the South boundary of Section 31, Township 33, N. Range 2 East, is 80 ch. 70 links. This fact seems to indicate that when this survey was made the line on the south of Township 32 was not run as a Standard Parallel.

In the field, in retracing the South boundary of the reservation from the Boise Mountains to the South East corner of the Res. the course of that line is South 70°-18' East. Forty two chaining courses are on the Reservation line from the Survey South. Therefore the Surveyor is obliged to go South into the Government Survey to find corners to start from, and he finds the East and West lines on one survey less than 80 chains. The next random line between Sections 7 & 18 Township 31, N. R 3 East, is about 2 chains short. This indicates to Surveyor Briggs that there will probably be an error in remeasuring from the North East corner of T. 32. N Range 2, E, to the S.E. corner of Township 33, N Range 4, East, and that the S.E. corner of Township 33, N. Range 4 East will be South
