Indian office where my work was done, has also resigned so that I can not appeal to these gentlemen to corroborate my statement.

Voucher 4. 31st Mar. 1889. the amt. due for unpaid salary and 26. days in April, disallowed for the same reason as above. The same explanation holds good. I completed my Winnebago work in April after 26 days work in the month, and dropped my pay until I started for Idaho May 20.

Voucher 1. 2d Jan. 1890. My pay corresponds from the time of my arrival in Washington to December until the close of the Quarter. I at once reported to the Indian office on my arrival and was employed daily there making out reports and statements connected with my allotment work among the Nez Perce. Please inform me what other evidence than this statement, is needed.

In my "Account Current for 3d Quarter. 1890, you will find the $1023.40 rec'd from the Treasury accounted for and its expenditure in the voucher of my accts. for that Quarter.

Respectfully
