I have not the files of my official correspondence during my Winnebago allotment work, with me here. My field work was completed, and I returned to Washington in accordance with orders to report there in person when allotments were finished. Will this statement [[?]] in part be sufficient or should I write to the Dept of Indian Affairs for a copy of this authority? My own files are stored away where I can not reach them or send for them.

Voucher 2. ^[[3d May. 1889.]] My pay for Jan'y 15. 1889 to March 31 1889 is disallowed because no evidence appeared on the receipt roll that I was actually employed during that period. I will state that upon my arrival in Washington from the Winnebago Agency Neb., I at once reported to the Indian office and that from that day until March 31, I was at work there making out the schedule of my allotments, and final report upon the work of allotting the Winnebago Inds. of Neb.
