Sir:
Your communication of Aug. 15, containing exceptions to my accounts for the 4th Quarter 1890, has just [[searched?]]. In reply I will state:

Exception 1st  Voucher 9, David Johnson horseshoeing. The two sent vouchers attached to Voucher 9, Sub-Vouchers Nos. 13 & 14, were taken from David Johnson blacksmith by two different men, and as the vouchers state, No 14 was for the team, or horses used in the wagon, and No 13, for the two horses used for packing.  My Property returns show that I carry 4 horses.  I sent the team to be shod by one man, and another man took the 2 pack horses, and to each man taking the horses I furnished a sub-voucher, for his two horses. I did not
