First:  no [[?????]] to East and west, for any distance, so that the water can nearly form a [[?]] line upon stream not meandered.

Second:  When the fences [[???]] these were not set in accordance with the Thompson Survey, but at right angles to the stream and to enclose the Indian fields.

For these two reasons the allotment has been complicated requiring much work on the part of the Surveyor so as to give each person his or her improvements as required by the Severalty Laww.  More over each one of those allotments has been the subject [[components?]] or is conforming the allotments to the survey, the new lines have crossed the old fences on an angle, these necessitating an exchange of land.  Care has been taken to make this a fair exchange and of the [[?]]
