Again, at the instigation of Geo W. Norris at that time Agent at Nez Perce, (my successor) suit was brought against me by the U.S. Gov't upon representations made by said Norris among the charges made, was one that I bought, hay from Thomas Bronche, an employe and that the hay was raised, on school land. The land referred to is the land herein cited and claimed by Moses.

I introduced several witnesses both whites and Indians and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt, 1st that the land never was claimed or used as School or Agency land and 2nd that the land was the home of Bronche and Moses and that Bronche raised the
