These with Miss Copley, Mrs T's only sister who always lives here, comprises the family at present.

I've read a book I would like you to look thro when you get home. It is called, "The Martyrdom of an Empress", referring to the life & tragic death of Elisabeth of Austria, who was killed, stabbed, at Geneva, Switzerland, by an Italian anarchist. I would like you to read the book for two reasons. It is a well put together book as giving the story of a life. The manner is fresh & unhackneyed, & worth your while to note, in reference to your own future work on your Fathers life-story.

The other reason is, it gives a very clear picture of a phase of life that is so completely unlike anything we are familia with that it opens a new line of thought, and helps me to understand past, as well as present European history.
