Fair Orchard. Congressbury [[insert]] Somerset [[/insert]] England. Monday Morning July 25, 1910. My dear Francis, The steamer landed a little after 1 P.M. on Friday. As I came down the gangway I was met at the foot by a very charming young lady whom I did not know but who said she was Prof. Myer's secretary, and that I was to go directly to their home where I was expected. Just before we landed I received letters sent over by the pilot, from Prof Myers & Miss Gay. I had expected to go with the steamer party to the Hotel for the night but the message from Prof Myers was so urgent & cordial that I determined to accept, so after passing thru the Customs House I took a carriage, left my trunk in storage at the R. R. station & then over to Prof. Myers. Mrs Myers was in London & would be back about 4.30. Prof M. was also in London & would be back on Saturday. My room was ready for me, and after washing a little I went down to a delightful lunch. I had just finished & gone into the charming drawing room
