My dear Francis
From your last letter is looks as tho. the detail would be accomplished, but I await the word, before sending the check for your dividends for I am not sure that you are in [[Walkhill?]]. If all went well you left on the 28th, and are now at [[Walkhill?]]. If there was a delay then you may still be in Washington. It is not likely that the delay has been so great as to keep you in Washington until Aug 10th when this letter will reach America and yet I hesitate to send the check for [[$60?]], until I know where you will be when it arrives. I may get a little
[[margin]] If you are where you can give my love to Lucy, Susan, Margaret, Mary & all the [[friends?]] who [[?]]
I am so sorry to delay about the check but not knowing where you are I fear it might get lost. [[/margin]]

Transcription Notes:
The future location for Francis is Nobb Hill on Page 35 but this looks more like Walkhill?
