take so long for me to get word here that I shall not know how to reach you. As to my plans they are not yet settled. Today came a letter from Mrs. Mendenhall who is now in England.  The return to Italy early in Sept.  I shall try to arrange to see them there. but I can see them here for they may be in England very soon.  I am to go to London about the 20th of next month. then 
if convenient to visit Mrs. Myers & go with them to the British Ass.  Give my paper there - then to visit Mr. Sidney Hartland, then return here. & then start for Italy.  I believe there are some other accts to come in.

I have read with great interest all about your detail.  As to [[Hewett?]], I think I know why he is not on a salary.
