Comparitive Study. He is wealthy. Not only by inheritance but from his practice. He has many gifts from the late Queen Victoria who was a great friend of his. He is also very fond
of Music & plays the Angelus, wonderfully, the Angelus is something like the Pianola. Every evening we have music of the very best. We breakfast at 9 - lunch at 11 tea at 4, dinner at 8 P.M. Customs differ - breakfast is informal, no serving at the table, every one helps himself. I am learning much of old English history. Yesterday we all went by motor to Ely about
18 miles off - where I visited that mournful Cathedral. I was there at afternoon service & sat in the Choir Stalls, later I was invited thro the courtesy of Mrs Sturge to tea on the
lawn of [[Canon?]] Glazebrook. It was very picturesque. I met many people there, some belonging to the Clergy & to the nobility. I have only a little time to write this morning to catch the mail. I leave here tomorrow for Prof. Myer at Liverpool.
