Dr. M. Allen Sturge & his wife have been here, they left yesterday for London.  Next week I go to visit Miss Sturge in Hants, then I return here.  By that time I shall know what I am to do about Italy.  Just now cholera is in Italy.  I dread the dirt & disease there, & being there alone.  If you were with me
I would not mind or have any fear.

In October I am going up to London for a few weeks.  I am asked to pay a visit in Cambridge & I may go there, also down to [[strikethrough]] Bristol [[/strikethrough]] Brighton & I may go.  I may go over to Germany for a visit to [[Barmern Loceles?]] in Dresden, if I do not go to Italy.

I am going to write Miss Cook & tell her of the delight I had hearing the Messiah, in the Cathedral on Wednesday.  I went again to Wells Cathedral with Dr. & Mrs. Sturge.  It is a few hours from here by train but it rained so I could not go about except in the Cathedral.  It was interesting to be with Dr. &
