If the daughter was married now & started off, both she & his
mother would be called back to Washington as they are heirs to both estates.  I do not know when Mrs. C. will go to California.
She wrote me that her sister-in-law in Albion was sick so she 
could not go there as she had intended when she found out the 
wedding & journey to California was to be postponed.  So she 
would be in Washington this month.  I cannot get home before
December 1, at the best.  I am to go to Cambridge for a visit on
Oct. 21 - after that to London - then to Canterbury [[Wok?]] and
Oxford.  That will take me well into November.  I shall see when
