try.  I must go economically but I want also be comfortable.  I
do not want to get home used up.  Dora writes me she is cleaning
the house & getting things ready.  I have written Clara to come
& mend the rug so things will be [[?]] at home.

I am so much interested in your work.  I am saving all your letters, as there may be bits that you may like to refer to.  I
wrote you that I am in woolen under wear, & I have had to buy a thick suit skirt & coat.  My clothes are too thin & I do not want to get cold.  Oh! if you could only see the roses.  Every one is very kind to me.  Miss Gay is very gentle.  She has changed a good deal.
