Mrs Harris, widow of Dr. Harris. She asked after you as did Miss H. In the evening I went to a supper given by Mr & Mrs Metcalf, and met our friends I had not seen for many years. All were most kind.

This afternoon after the meeting I go to Mrs Banes & will drive there stay all night & take the Colonial Express home tomorrow. I'm too tired to travel all night tonight.

I am hoping for a word when I get home telling me you are safely on your way & that all is well with you.

I have a set of resolutions to write Dr. Maquand of Princeton & Prof Wheeler of [[insert]] Columbia [[/insert]] New York [[?]] asked me to be on the Com. & it was expedient for me to do so as they belong to the opposition of the Amer. School, but I hope that this is a sort of olive branch, so I do it.
