If only the plans now on foot for endowment may prosper a great work will be on its feet. I am glad I have had the courage and the strength to bring it to pass.

It is all queer about Mexico is it not?  There is a rumor this morning that Diaz is dead. I hope it is not true, for I fear that there may be a convulsion in this country if that is so. I trust not, however. I've not heard from Mrs Nuttall for two months. I wonder if she is safe for she has antagonized the government & made enemies, and at one time, I am told, the feeling was very strong against her threatening to distroy her home. I must write but I am not sure that a letter will get thro.
