Home Saturday A.M. May 6.

My dear Francis
No letter from you for quite a time You are well I hope.

Mr. Culin is here, on his way West and Mrs C. is giving him her time. They go out to lunch. I don't ask him to dinner because Dora is away & Lula, the new upstairs girl, is doing as well as she can but I am not prepared for company. Mrs. C. suggested that Mr. C. take her & me out to dinner tomorrow, at the Willard, but I absolutely declined. I was not going to have him give me an expensive dinner. I said I would be pleased for him to come & eat some spring lamb here tomorrow
