paper the hall, & the ceiling of the parlor, dining room, study & hall, also the front room downstairs. All this will be expensive [[strikethrough]] but [[/strikethrough]] but it must be done. Outside the walls need painting up, on the South side particularly the chimney

I did not go to the Bureau as I wrote I should for I learned by telephone that Mr. Hodge was not at the Office I fear he is sick. He was sick last week. I tried to get at him yesterday to read him what you wrote about music & your going to Pawnee but he was not in town.

This is rather a dreadful letter, but we shall pull thro. I hope. I am sending you some clippings which I think will interest you. The ceremony in reference to Dr. Gallaudet I missed on acct of Dora's sickness. I telephoned Miss Gallaudet why I was absent. She said they missed me. I re telephoned Miss Westcott but she is full of company so until they go I can't see her.

It is so hot that I feel badly, but there is no way of being cool until this heat wave passes.

I like the picture of the feather man. I showed it to Mrs. P. & she liked it too.

Goodbye. Ever Affly,
