Home, June 10, Sat. P.M.

My dear Francis

Your letter with check for $65. of date June 8 has come. I will deposit it Monday if I can get out of the house. I am nearly used up tonight. The parlor is done, papered & painted & today Tom has been here hung all the pictures many had to have new wire he moved the furniture & I have put back all the books in the book case. My room has been painted which meant much work for me. I've been up since before six & working ever since it is now 5 P.M. On Monday the man comes to paper the ceiling of dining room, & the ceiling of the study. [[strikethrough]] They [[/strikethrough]] the painter will paint Mrs. C's room & the hall, & as soon as the man gets thro. in the study will paint there, & then go on down. It is a fearful job. It is probably the last time I shall do it, for it will now last out my life. I think you will think it pretty.
