Home. Dec. 6. A.M.

My dear Francis

I came home from New York yesterday and reached the house about 5 P.M. It began to snow before we reached Newton & was a heavy storm as we went on. Mrs Cushing was with me.

Dora had every thing in order and had invited Mr & Mrs Parson's to take dinner so that the table "would not be lonesome". She prepared a Thanksgiving dinner & it was good I wished you were here to enjoy it.

Your two letters met me on my ret. & the news was joyful. Welcome! welcome home! dear Francis.

I shall look for you about Saturday P.M. I am hurrying this letter off to let you know I am safely home.
