Plymouth Meeting, July 11, Monday P.M.

Arrived safely and comfortably on time. Mrs Hovenden & her daughter met me & we had a beautiful drive through the Park beside the Schukill river. The trees, the vine covered arches the lovely & spacious houses & gardens made the hours drive a delight. I sleep in state, a canopy bed such as I had in Durham England. [[freedom??]] & a charming house and such a cordial welcome from Mrs Hovenden & Mrs de Caindry and the daughter.
the house was the home of an artist & is the home of an artist today - Bdry lines are fallen in pleasant places I hope you are comfortable. The quiet is delightful I was sorry not to see Mrs P. tell -  I [[??]] slowly I had now too many [[????]]
