that appeared in one of the western papers is a picture of a huge steam roller on top of which sat one of the Taft politicians, and Taft himself was below guiding it and in front of it was T.R's hat in a ring. It was little bit of a hat and this great steam roller was going to run over it. Day after tomorrow is the convention. I expect it will be a tumultuous one. If Taft loses I shall be much surprised and disappointed. In that case I think I shall take my leave now as the weather here is too hard on me. If Taft comes out ahead I shall stick it out and go home to vote in November. 

I have not yet received my allotment from the Bureau but I hope it will be the same as
