I thought it best to put it that way. The curio man had been negotiating for it for some time but the old woman would not sell it to him because they [[insert]] he & his son [[/insert]] connived for its theft & put her to considerable expense in getting it back. The man offered $80.00 for it but the old woman let me have it for $60.00. The outer bag is almost perfect, there is only one little hole in the flap. The rush bag is very good too.

I am now writing the words of the songs I got form Wa-sho'-she and transcribing the rituals. Some of the songs are fine. The "rain" ritual or what I should call, the "penalty" ritual has four advance guards for the god who moves in the first of the [[insert]] storm [[/insert]] clouds. Two of the guards I could make out but the other two are given names that have become obsolete and even the older people cant make them
