My dar M,

It has been hot, it is still hot but our Mi-'zhiu with its processions going solemnly back and forth with the pots and kettles and horses still goes on. Yesterday the horses and other goods were to be accepted and distributed but a cousin of ours came to the feast a little bit the worse from imbibing a little too freely and while eating he declared loudly that he would not give his consent to the marriage unless the full seven additional horses that he had demanded were delivered. Five had been brought but he insists upon the full number. Furthermore he said that he was highly insulted by the other party bringing a horse that could hardly stand up and their effort to conceal its protruding bones by with a black blanket.
