and I suppose the ribbons will form a part of the show.

I may take my leave to begin the 15" or 20" of Oct. I shall have 20 days, and I want real rest. I have had a pretty hard summer and I don't want another. If I come back here next year I shall take two months leave, and I wish us [[?]] go together to Mexico or some place where it isnt so hot. I will figure soon on the date if my leave and will let you know. It is pretty hard to tell at this time of the political outlook, but I am hoping that the Republicins will win. I have not lost hope yet.

I have just received a letter from John Ferley enclosing check for $200 for rest of my land. He expects to get $4.50 sent this time or more. The man who has the land wants to leave again.

Now I must close and go and find Wa-xri-ghi.

Ever affly,
