My dear M,

I returned from Gray Horse last evening bringing with me Ka-wa-xo-tse's wa-xo-be and the two sacred looms of Bro-ga-hi-ge's wife. There were two looms instead of one as I had supposed, one was for weaving the sacred buffalo hair case for the wa-xo-be and the other for the rush mat case which seems to be considered as the most important. These looms are quite rough in appearance but they show what the weaver had to work with. I asked the old woman if she knew the wi-gi-e for the weaving of the rush mat case and she said she did not but she knew the ritual for the chosing the sacred kettles [[strikethrough]] w [[/strikethrough]] that had to do with the weaving. I imagine the kettles were
