Yours of the 23rd came yesterday. Three letters ought to have reached you before this but by this time you have them and you are relieved of anxiety. Yesterday I wrote you of the opening of the Ka-wa-xo-dse pack. I forgot to suggest that you tell Mr. Hodge about it without saying anything about my correspondence with him about one I secured last Summer. I understand that the Museum appropriation was cut down and it may be that they have not sufficient funds to make purchases. If it is so it is a pity that this very interesting pack should not go with the rest. There was another one I would like to have
