Pawhuska, Ok.
Dec. 5. 1912.

My dear M.

I am just mailing to Mr. Hodge a letter asking for auth. to bring my work to Washington. You will see pencil copy of it on the back of this.

I hope the auth will be granted because in the winter time it is always somewhat difficult to get at the informants. Then too these loose notes that are accumulating must be given attention.

I wrote you yesterday that I was going to Hominy tomorrow. I may be gone till Monday and I fear I shall not be able to visit before this time. It will be rather a gruesome trip as I will have to assist in opening a grave! I hope the pack will prove interesting.

I must now go to the P.O.
Good cheer to you.

As ever Affly,
