and I will stay at Wallan Springs, & going to the camp the next day to be among the Indians.

I am going to try to get Lookouts photograph with the sacred wand, or staff. It will be a good illustration for the chapter on the Peyote Religion. I also want a separate picture of the staff so that I can have it colored. Fred is anxious to have it known that in this religion there is nothing that would be objectionable, either to the whites or to the Indians I hope there will be no obstacles in the way of getting the photographs.

It was quite late when we got home so there was no time to go to the post-office for my mail. As soon as I finish this letter I will call for an auto and go over. I hope I shall find something from home.

My cold is still in the thick stage and disagreeable but it is getting better all the time. When I come back from Pawhuska I shall go to Fairfax. I think the people here will go with me. I am to stop with a relative of theirs. It will be a cross country drive of 22 miles. I shall dress warmly. I hope it will be a pleasant day.

Love to the Parsons.

Ever affly,
