My dear M,

In the lowest drawer of the manuscript case are the separates of my article for the Holmes memorial. Send me a copy as soon as possible, please. I wish to present it to Fred Lookout as it may be useful to him in his suit. I think there is a big envelope with them but if not just roll it up and wrap it in heavy brown paper.

I am feeling quite well but sick for the sight of my home, and its comforts. Fred has not come home yet with the old man and that is a source of anxiety to me. He may be home with him this evening — and I may finish with him tomorrow.

Hope all is well with you —

Have written to Miss Curtis —

I write in haste.

Affly,
